About Me
I’m Ibrahim, an AI engineer and the co-founder of OpenKit. With a First-Class Computer Science degree from Durham University and over six years of hands-on experience, I specialise in building AI-powered solutions that deliver measurable results.
My primary focus is on helping SMEs and public-sector teams boost their operational efficiency. I work with clients from strategy to deployment to find the single highest-impact AI use case for their needs, prove its ROI, and ship it into production, fast.
My Approach
At OpenKit, we build tailored AI solutions, not plug-and-play wrappers. Every project is designed to meet specific organisational goals, and our clients retain 100% of the code and IP. We believe in moving quickly and avoiding scope creep to get powerful tools into your hands as soon as possible.
Areas of Expertise
My technical skills cover the full stack, with a focus on creating intelligent, user-centric applications. This includes working with AI and machine learning technologies like multimodal LLMs, autonomous agents, and vision and audio pipelines. I handle all aspects of full-stack development, using modern frontend frameworks and building robust backend architectures. My work also involves end-to-end project management, from ideation to launch, all within an ISO 27001–certified, privacy-first framework.
Recent Wins
I’m proud of the concrete results we deliver. Recent projects have included achieving a 92% efficiency saving on legal document review for a law firm (case study) and delivering a 50% reduction in marking time for educators with a custom AI assessment tool (Rubrical). We also developed an AI-powered agent to help a local council support residents with their air-quality queries (Air Aware).
A Little About Me
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time in nature, whether that’s hiking mountain trails or just sketching. I also enjoy watching a lot of films at home.
