AI, adopted properly.

We audit where AI pays back in your business, then build it into the tools your team already runs.

Most teams are trying to use AI, and far fewer have it doing real work.

Licences get bought, pilots multiply and someone becomes “the AI person”. A year later the tools are everywhere but the work has not changed, because nobody mapped where AI actually fits before switching it on.

  • Pilots that never reach production
  • Output nobody trusts with real work
  • One enthusiast carrying it all
  • Company data in personal accounts
  • Policy written after implementation
  • Nobody tracking the ROI

Our services.

AI Audit and Transformation

The audit and the first AI rollout run as one fixed-fee engagement, so your roadmap arrives with the first automation already live.

We come in and spend time with your team, measuring where the hours actually go before anything is switched on.

  • Workflows measured against the hours they actually take
  • What’s worth automating, and what to leave alone
  • A costed, prioritised 12 month roadmap
  • An enterprise AI platform set up, your team trained, and the first automation live
How it works
~50 hrs a month reclaimable, found in a two-week discovery sprint The Stow Brothers

Embedded AI Lead

OpenKit becomes your business’s embedded AI team: the people who ran your audit stay on to deliver your 12 month roadmap.

We come on-site weekly, turning the plan into live automations from the first month.

  • We train your AI champions to run it
  • An AI Charter, and delivery under our ISO 27001-certified management system
  • Quarterly reporting to track impact against your roadmap
  • The platforms and workflows stay yours, and your team can run them without us

All testimonials

“Working with OpenKit has been a genuinely positive experience. Their team quickly understood the unique challenges of our business and the problem we were trying to solve, and delivered a thorough, evidence-based strategy for our AI-assisted marking platform. “We worked with OpenKit, as we wanted a company with domain expertise in LLMs to look at our strategy and test the concept. The study was focussed and really gave us a validation of our concept, a technical roadmap and prioritisation of the developments.”

“From the outset, their team demonstrated a clear understanding of the brief which required a bespoke solution to be designed incorporating the different requests from a variety of stakeholders. Throughout the project, OpenKit’s team remained focused on our objectives and was able to consistently prioritise the needs of our communities.”

Sectors we work in.

All industries

OpenKit has worked with UK businesses since 2020, and most engagements start with the AI Audit and Transformation: the people who run the audit stay on to build what it surfaces. The person who brings us in is usually whoever has been asked to work out where AI fits, whether that is a partner, an ops director, a founder or an IT lead. OpenKit has completed seven AI audits so far, for organisations from a UK-listed lighting manufacturer to a London estate agency; at House of Hackney, 20 hours a week of finance reconciliation is now automated, and for the Department for Education we built Rubrical, where teachers report a 52% reduction in marking time in the developer’s tests. The building happens inside the tools your team already runs, Microsoft 365 and the systems around it, rather than on a platform you have to adopt. The work runs under ISO 27001, ISO 9001 and Cyber Essentials, all three held at once, operating to UK GDPR.

FAQ.

What does working with OpenKit cost?

The AI Audit and Transformation is a fixed fee from £10,000, agreed in writing before anything starts. An Embedded AI Lead retainer runs from £5,000 a month, and Bespoke Builds are quoted after the audit, once we both know what is worth building. The figures and what moves them are on the pricing page.

How long does an AI audit take?

Within four weeks, with the scope fixed before we begin. What moves a timeline is rarely the technology but access to the people who do the work, so those sessions are booked in the first week.

Where do we start?

Get in touch and tell us what prompted the question. Working out where the value sits is the audit’s first week, not something you have to bring with you. Not ready to talk? The free AI readiness check scores where you stand in about five minutes.

Who is the audit for?

Whoever has been handed the question, and the title varies more than the situation does. There is no need for a data team or any AI in place before we arrive: the audit assumes the person who runs a workflow today will still run it next month, with AI doing the repetitive share.

How do you handle data security, GDPR, and regulated industries?

OpenKit is ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certified and works to UK GDPR by default. Every implementation encrypts your data and restricts access by role, and we document how each piece of it is processed. For regulated sectors the work is designed to operate under your sector-specific obligations on top, whether that is the SRA for legal, the FCA for financial services, or the NHS DSP Toolkit for healthcare. Where client data is too sensitive to leave your environment, the same engagement can run on a private deployment, with the models operating inside infrastructure you control.
