Embedded AI Lead
Get the plan delivered without hiring a team.
A named lead works inside your business on the agreed priorities, building the automations and connectors and handing over the documentation, so the work keeps running after we step back.
Automations, connectors and integrations built inside the allocation
Priorities set with you and revisited as the work progresses
Handover planned with you, with the documentation to run it
AI Engineering
Get a system built for how your business works. We design, build and hand over custom AI tools and agents on their own scope, with the code and documentation yours to keep.
AI Governance
Set the rules before the first tool is switched on. We write the policy, the approvals and the audit trail, checked against UK GDPR and the obligations your sector already carries.
Private AI
Keep the data where it has to stay. The same systems run inside infrastructure you control, for work that cannot leave your environment.
Use cases
Document review
Reads contracts, policies and reports, extracts the clauses and facts that matter, and returns an answer that cites the source page.
Admin automation
Moves data between the systems your team copies between by hand, checks it against your rules, and logs every change.
Data Connection
Searches years of documents and answers in plain English with a link to the original, so nobody re-does work that already exists.
Reporting
Turns raw operational data into reports written for the board, the managers and the teams that own the numbers.
Governance and compliance
Sets the rules for how AI is used, keeps the audit trail, and checks each system against UK GDPR and your sector obligations.
Private AI
Runs the same systems inside infrastructure you control, for data that cannot leave your environment.
“Working with OpenKit has been a genuinely positive experience. Their team quickly understood the unique challenges of our business and the problem we were trying to solve, and delivered a thorough, evidence-based strategy for our AI-assisted marking platform. “We worked with OpenKit, as we wanted a company with domain expertise in LLMs to look at our strategy and test the concept. The study was focussed and really gave us a validation of our concept, a technical roadmap and prioritisation of the developments.”

“From the outset, their team demonstrated a clear understanding of the brief which required a bespoke solution to be designed incorporating the different requests from a variety of stakeholders. Throughout the project, OpenKit’s team remained focused on our objectives and was able to consistently prioritise the needs of our communities.”

A standard scoped AI Audit is from £10,000. An AI Charter is an optional £3,000 add-on, with its scope agreed separately. An Embedded AI Lead engagement for ongoing implementation help starts from £5,000 a month. Fees exclude VAT. The pricing page has the detail.
Do we have to continue with OpenKit after the audit?
No. The audit is a standalone engagement. You use the findings to decide the next step.
Who will help us implement it?
We agree who leads your engagement and how the work is supported. That lead is named before the work starts. Where a handover is needed, it is planned with you so the context and the documentation carry forward. Your own team stays involved throughout.
Can you work with our existing IT provider?
Yes. We agree how to work alongside your IT provider and who is responsible for the systems involved. Access, integration and support arrangements are set for the engagement.
Where do we start?
Get in touch and tell us what prompted the question. You do not need to arrive with a list of use cases. Finding them is what the audit is for. If you would rather not talk yet, the free AI readiness check takes about five minutes.
How do you handle data security, GDPR, and regulated industries?
OpenKit is ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certified and works to UK GDPR by default. Every implementation encrypts your data and restricts access by role, and we document how each piece of it is processed. For regulated sectors the work is designed to operate under your sector-specific obligations on top, whether that is the SRA for legal, the FCA for financial services, or the NHS DSP Toolkit for healthcare. Where client data is too sensitive to leave your environment, the same engagement can run on a private deployment, with the models operating inside infrastructure you control.
