What an engagement costs
The AI Audit is a standard scoped fee of £10,000. An optional AI Charter adds £3,000, which makes £13,000 for the two together. Embedded AI Lead engagements start from £5,000 a month. Every figure here excludes VAT.

Standard scoped AI Audit
We spend time with your people, look at how the work runs today and set out where AI is worth using, what it would cost and what it could return.
- Executive summary The principal findings and the priorities we recommend, written for the people who decide.
- Interview and findings report A structured account of the work we examined, what your people told us and the opportunities and issues we found.
- Implementation roadmap A prioritised plan, typically supplied as an Excel Gantt chart, showing the proposed order of work.
- Costing and benefit assessment Estimated costs, potential productivity improvements and the ROI assumptions behind them, to support your implementation decisions.
The costings are a planning assessment, not a guarantee of savings or a fixed-price commitment to build every recommendation. Results depend on the work you select and on how it is implemented and adopted. They also depend on the assumptions we agree with you.

Additional capacity or major standalone systems
Major standalone applications or new systems need their own scope and agreement, quoted against a defined outcome.
Third-party licences and other external costs are set out in your proposal rather than folded into the OpenKit fee.
FAQ
Why is one fee fixed and the other a “from” figure?
The audit has a standard agreed scope, so it has a standard fee: £10,000 excluding VAT, agreed in writing before anything starts. An implementation engagement is sized around the delivery capacity you need, so it starts from £5,000 a month excluding VAT and the figure is settled once we have agreed what the engagement covers.
What if we need more than the standard audit scope?
We agree the scope with you before the work starts. Where an organisation needs more ground covered than the standard scope allows, that is quoted separately rather than changed part way through.
Is the AI Charter included?
No. It is an optional £3,000 addition to the standard £10,000 audit, both excluding VAT, with its scope agreed separately.
Do we have to continue with OpenKit after the audit?
No. The audit is a standalone engagement. You use the findings to decide the next step.
Does the retainer include building things?
Yes. Suitable automations, connectors and integrations are delivered inside your agreed total capacity. Additional capacity and major new systems need separate agreement.
Does a monthly fee mean we can cancel every month?
Not necessarily. The initial commitment and renewal arrangements are agreed in the proposal. Billing frequency is a separate matter.
What does bespoke AI work cost at market rates?
Published UK market ranges put a single-workflow agent at roughly £10,000 to £30,000, and multi-agent work spanning several systems at £40,000 to £150,000 (OpenKit AI development cost guide). Regulated environments add ten to twenty percent for the security and audit work. OpenKit never quotes from a rate card: we scope each build against a defined outcome first.
Do the fees include VAT?
No. Every figure on this page excludes VAT. It appears as a separate line on the quote, which is the standard footing between UK businesses.
