  1. Download the skill

One small file. No account, nothing to set up first, and nothing to unzip: you upload it as-is.

  2. Upload it to your AI, once

Open your assistant's settings and add the file. That is the whole install.

    Claude · web or desktop

Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill. Pick the file and switch it on. On Claude Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise.

    ChatGPT

Settings → Skills → New skill → Upload from your computer. On ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu plans.

  3. Just ask for it

Setup is done. Say what you want in plain English and your AI runs the skill on its own, with no command to memorise. See the prompts to try →

How to use it.

This one studies how you actually write, so your AI stops sounding like a chatbot. Give it a sample of your sent emails and it builds a drafter that inbox triage uses every morning.

  1. Pull a sample of sent emails

Copy 20 to 30 recent sent messages from Gmail, Outlook or Apple Mail. A mix of quick replies and longer emails works best.

  2. Ask your AI to run it

Paste them into Claude and say "Run build-inbox-voice on these." It reads for tone, openings, sign-offs and the phrases you reach for.

  3. It builds your drafter

The skill writes a drafter into your skills folder. Inbox triage picks it up on the next run, so the morning's drafts sound like you wrote them.

  4. Refresh now and then

Once a quarter keeps it current. Run it again whenever your writing drifts or you want a fresher sample.

Common questions.

How does AI learn to write emails in my voice?

The Build inbox voice skill studies a sample of your sent emails and generates a drafter so future replies sound like you. It reads only the sample you give it, then stops.

Will this skill read my whole inbox or send emails?

No. It reads only the sample of sent emails you provide, generates a drafting skill, and sends nothing. Nothing is sent or auto-sent at any point.

Where do my sample emails go, and does OpenKit see them?

The skill runs inside your own AI account and reads only the sample you paste in. OpenKit never receives your emails, and how the conversation is handled is governed by your own AI assistant privacy settings.

Is the Build inbox voice skill free?

Yes. It is free and MIT-licensed on GitHub, and no paid Claude plan is required. Skills work on the free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans.

What does Build inbox voice produce?

It generates a drafter, a skill that writes email replies in your style, by studying the sample you give it. Once the drafter is created the skill stops; it does not keep reading your mail.

How do I add this skill to Claude without coding?

Download it from GitHub and turn it on in your AI's settings under Skills. No coding is required, and it works the same in Claude and ChatGPT.

Need a skill the library doesn't cover?

We build bespoke skills, agents, and AI integrations for regulated industries. Same approach as the library: open-source where it can be, governed where it must be.
